Hopkins & Huebner, P.C. is pleased to announce that Akosua S. Wiafe, an Associate Attorney in our Des Moines office, has been selected to the 2025 Great Plains Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” awards list for her work in employment and labor law. Selection or inclusion to this awards list is reserved for Attorneys who exhibit excellence in practice, and who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. We are honored to have Akosua as a part of the team here at Hopkins & Huebner, P.C.
The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. All attorneys first go through the Super Lawyers selection process. Those who are not selected to the Super Lawyers list, but who meet either one of the Rising Stars eligibility requirements, go through the Rising Stars selection process. While the top five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, the top 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
The Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country.
